Story by: Neall Glennis – Helderburger
Dad suspects his wife of some seriously barking behaviour. She tells him to fuck off. The dog, meanwhile, remains a prime suspect.
There comes a time in every man’s life when he looks at his child and thinks, “That’s my boy.”
And then, apparently, there comes a time when he looks at the family husky, looks at his son, and thinks, “Hang on a fucking minute.”
One suspicious father who wishes to be remained simply as F. Allan has reportedly demanded a DNA test after becoming convinced his son looks a little too much like the family dog.
Not the neighbour’s dog. Not some random mutt down the road. The family husky.
And suddenly, what should have been a perfectly ordinary household has turned into an episode of Jerry Springer: Barking Mad Edition.
HUSBAND SNIFFS OUT A CONSPIRACY
Huskies are known for their striking eyes, distinctive facial markings and expressions that suggest they’ve just discovered the household’s Wi-Fi password and are judging your browsing history.
So when a child starts sharing a few of those features, most parents might laugh it off. Allan, however, apparently isn’t laughing. He’s demanding answers and a DNA test. His suspicion? That something deeply inappropriate may have happened between his wife and the family pet. Yes, dear readers. We’re officially at the point where a man is questioning his marriage because his son looks like he belongs in a dog food advert.

THE WIFE ISN’T HAVING IT
Unsurprisingly, the wife got very angry when we called Mr. Allan’s residence and spoke to her. She responded with a resounding cacophony on language we are not allowed to publish here. The ceaseless mocking from the neighbour’s kids have done no favours for her either.
One suspects she thought she’d married a husband, not a walking episode of CSI: Kennel Unit.
And who could blame her? Imagine trying to enjoy a quiet evening at home while your other half studies the child’s face, compares it with the husky’s, and mentally prepares a case for the prosecution.
Somewhere in the background, the dog is probably wondering why everyone keeps looking at it. It hasn’t chewed the couch in weeks and now it’s facing allegations that could destroy its reputation at the local dog park. A ruff day for him indeed.
DNA, DOGS & DOMESTIC DISASTER
For the record, a resemblance proves absolutely nothing. Genetics can produce some surprising family features, and a husky’s markings aren’t evidence of anything beyond the fact that it’s a husky.
If this story is genuine, a resemblance alone is no reason to accuse anyone of misconduct.
But as domestic disputes go, this one has certainly saw some fur fly, depending on how you feel about the family pet being dragged into a paternity investigation.
Perhaps the father will eventually find an explanation that doesn’t involve a veterinary waiting room, a lawyer, and the world’s most uncomfortable family meeting. Until then, we’d advise everyone involved to keep their heads, keep their accusations to themselves, and perhaps give the husky an extra biscuit.
Because if this household has taught us anything, it’s that sometimes the family resemblance really is going to the dogs.
UPDATED EDIT:
This article was presented to the Helderburger on the 3rd of October 2026. We have since concluded our investigation after several phone calls to local vetenarians and can reasonably attest that it is impossible for the son to have been conceived by Mr. Allan’s Husky. We hope this puts the matter to bed, Mr. Allan, and wish you and your family a happy life together with Husky included.
